Things You Might Not Know about The Market Place:

  • We have nearly 90 web clients and over 150 clients representing the many facets of American Agriculture
  • Although we are based in Central Florida, we have clients in Georgia, Tennessee, Minnesota, Missouri, Virginia, Washington D.C., and New Mexico
  • We have played host to five interns in the past several years (all girls, but we’d welcome a gentleman)
  • Did you know that Erin and Joel have known each other since they were 8. They were members of the same 4-H club and showed pigs together. Additionally, they served on the broadcast team together as seniors and years later they were co-chairs of their 10-year high school reunion. We think friends make the best business associates!

Today, more than ever, consumers are being bombarded with misinformation about where their food comes from and how it’s produced. At The Market Place, we understand the challenge that producers face every day in communicating with buyers, consumers and activist groups. We can help. Whether it’s through a dynamic video or a custom Web site, your story can and should be heard. Explore our portfolio to see what other producers are doing to stand up for American agriculture.

Owner/President

Erin Freel Best
Erin has considered herself a promoter of the agriculture industry for a very long time. Going back to her early days in 4-H and FFA it was her mission to spread the good word about agriculture and those who sustained their livelihood from it. When she realized she wouldn't be returning to her family's beef operation or following in her father's footsteps of becoming a large animal veterinarian, she decided that agricultural communications would be rewarding career path. After graduation from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Florida she served as the Director of Marketing and Promotions for the Florida Strawberry Growers Association for nearly a decade before starting her own communications and marketing company, The Market Place, in 2000. It is Erin's mission to put a face to American agriculture and make sure it is presented and portrayed in a positive and professional way.
